A thought for the day (Sunday, 3rd May) from Father Michael
A long-practiced exercise in Ignatian Spirituality is the Examen.
I would like to suggest that in our weekly prayer time on a Sunday we spend some of the half hour every week practicing this exercise.
What it entails
Put simply, in the quiet of your prayers, look back over the week and remember what was good and brought you joy, what was difficult and made you sad, where and when you felt close to God and finally where and when you felt farthest away from God.
Thatís the basic idea behind the Ignatian Examen. St Ignatius Loyola would say that this should be the most important moment of our prayer. Why? Because this moment affects every other moment.

Peace be to the whole community and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
As always with my prayers and blessings.Michael
